Kelvin Grove

Prahan

Kelvin Grove is a unique residential project that involved combining two existing apartments into a contemporary living space designed to cater to the needs of a young couple. The project focused on maximising the use of limited space while maintaining the integrity of the structure's historical elements.

Project Overview

The project required meticulous planning and intricate demolition to merge the two units and preserve the original double brick façade to incorporate new structural elements seamlessly. Challenges included managing tight access for demolition and construction, extensive propping of existing walls, and integrating modern materials like custom steel windows and Italian marble. The creative use of space was exemplified by the innovative staircase design that connects the renovated areas, enhancing fluidity between the study, living areas, and a luxurious marble powder room. Despite the logistical constraints, Firma's detailed approach ensured that every aspect of the design was executed flawlessly, transforming Kelvin Grove into a modern sanctuary that respects its architectural heritage.
